“Ivanovo polyester complex” was determined with the general contractor
MOSCOW- Ivanovo Polyester Complex (IPK) has completed the procedure for selecting a new general contractor for the construction of a textile textile plant in the Ivanovo region, the company said.
The contract for the working design, construction and installation works, commissioning and supply of auxiliary general plant equipment was concluded in November this year with the design and construction company UNIS, as (Czech Republic).
Currently, Vnesheconombank is carrying out a standard procedure for updating the project, including due to the timing of its implementation and changing the key participant, and agreeing on the candidacy of UNIS, as as general contractor.
The contract for the supply of technology and know-how (polymer synthesis and production of staple fiber by direct melt spinning), the main process equipment, engineering, supervision and technical services, concluded in December 2016 between IPK and the general supplier of Uhde Inventa -Fischer GmbH, Germany, which is part of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions AG, has not changed and remains in force, including the foreign-made warranty.
The structure of the project financing agreed previously by Vnesheconombank has remained the same: funding of German and Czech banks with insurance of export insurance agencies in Germany and the Czech Republic.
The capacity of the future complex will be 175,000 tons of polyester fiber and 30,000 tons of textile polyethylene terephthalate. Part of the production is planned to be processed in the industrial park in Vichug, part – to export. In May, negotiations were held with potential buyers from Italy, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic.
The company UNIS, as was founded in 1990. The main activity is the implementation of projects in the field of capital construction, focused on the processing of oil and natural gas, petrochemical, chemical and energy, including those completed in Russia and CIS countries. The company’s services include support of domestic and foreign customers for export financing through Czech commercial banks and state insurance company EGAP.
