PLAST 2018, the International Exhibition for the Plastics and Rubber Industries, is gearing up for a surge of visitors when it opens in May, after it says “thousands of operators” have pre-registered to attend.

The event, will take place at the FieraMilano facilities in Rho-Pero on 29^th May-1^stJune, will co-locate with four other fairs within Italy’s ‘ Innovation Alliance’, with an expected 120,000 visitors attending the events over the course of the four show days.

PLAST 2018 says it offers economic operators a full-spectrum technological showcase addressing all the various production processes from extrusion to blow-moulding, thermoforming to injection moulding and applications including packaging, automotive, medical and construction.

The event will also consist of technical seminars and company meetings, providing the latest views in materials, processes, machinery and services.

These conferences, combined with the breadth of the exhibits, will attach not only professionals working in the field but also young people seeking a place in the job market, says PLAST.

PLAST will feature satellite fairs dedicated to three sub-sectors rubber, 3D PLAST focusing on additive manufacturing and related technologies, now in its second edition and PLAST-MAT dedicated to innovative plastics.

The Art and Plastics area of PLAST 2018 will feature artists exhibiting works they have created using plastic.

A total of 1,100 exhibitors have registered this year, 870 are direct exhibitors and 230 are represented.
