-Trump was a symptom of American decline that Biden is unlikely to reverse

When it comes to foreign policy, will Joe Biden kick American interventionism and aggressive geopolitics back into gear after four years of Trump? Unlikely – but not because he wouldn’t want to.

With former Vice President Joe Biden now having been confirmed as the winner of the 2020 election, many are wondering what comes next. Not much is likely to happen for probably the next four years in terms of major legislation. But there are some changes that could happen, especially in terms of foreign policy, where the American president has the most unchecked power. Petrochemical SustainableSources Plastic

Some have postulated that “nothing will change” in terms of policy between Biden and current President Donald Trump and others actually believe it could be worse. According to those in the latter camp, Biden, or at least those who will be in his administration, will be more dangerous because they actually know what they’re doing. I disagree.

-RWE eyes green hydrogen supply deals in the Netherlands

To supply chemical companies OCI and Evonik

Hydrogen supply volumes yet to be agreed

Step towards developing 50 MW electrolysis

RWE has signed a letter of intent with chemical company OCI to supply green hydrogen to its methanol production facility in Delfzijl, the Netherlands, the German power company said Nov 6.

The agreement feeds into RWE’s Eemshydrogen green hydrogen project in Eemshaven where, in a first phase, RWE is to develop a 50 MW electrolyzer fed by its 162 MW Westereems onshore wind farm. Petrochemical SustainableSources Plastic

The electrolyzer capacity could be scaled up depending on market developments and regulations, the company said.

A final investment decision on the project was expected in 2021, with hydrogen production from 2024. RWE said the letter of intent with OCI contributed to the economic viability of the project.

RWE also intended to supply green hydrogen to Evonik’s chemical plant in Delfzijl. The volume of green hydrogen to be supplied to the two companies was under evaluation.

-From PET to rPET: Intermarché and Saint-Père Dairy launch the first 100% opaque opaque grey bottle ( French Language Only)

Choosing the circular economy with opaque rPET

The opaque rPET is recycled opaque PET. As for the opaque PET, it is a classic PET (transparent) to which, during the manufacture, an opacifier is added. For several years now, Saint-Père Dairy has been using opaque PET to bottle its milk. This plastic offers many advantages: lightness or waterproofing without operculum. Currently, these opaque PET bottles are recycled to become textile fibres and insulators.

By imagining a 100% opaque bottle, Intermarché and Saint-Père Dairy choose the circular

economy. Indeed, grey in color, this new bottle is recycled, recyclable and its life cycle works in a closed loop: it is sorted by the consumer, oriented towards a recycler who reduces it to sequins. This material is then used to make a preform that becomes a new bottle again. This technique has the advantage of using only plastic already existing on the market. -Sprite migrates from iconic green bottles to clear plastic bottles

In a bid to promote greater recyclability of its bottles, Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited has announced that its Sprite bottles will be moving from the iconic green plastic packaging to clear plastic packaging, effective November 2, 2020.Petrochemical SustainableSources Plastic

Since its launch in 1958, Sprite has always sported a signature green bottle. Now the brand is evolving from its iconic green colour packaging to a clear, new look, in line with its mission to reduce its carbon footprint not only in Nigeria but also across the world.

Speaking on the new look, Marketing Manager, Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited, Abiodun Ajiborode explained, “For us at Coca-Cola, clear is better and we’re working to slowly phase out our colored packaging for the all new clear bottles as they are easier to recycle. By 2030, for every bottle or can the Coca-Cola System sells, we aim to help take one back so that our bottles have more than one life. To achieve this ambitious goal, the Coca-Cola System is actively working with all stakeholders to ensure we meet this”.

The transition of Sprite’s plastic bottles from green to transparent bottles is part of the company’s “World Without Waste” vision which ensures that more of its bottles are collected and recycled into other products.
