Toray developed what is being described as the world’s first 100% plant-based polyester jointly with Virent, a U.S. biofuels startup. Production is set to begin in the early part of this decade, people familiar with the matter said.

-China releases second batch of US products for tariff exemption
China will exempt from punitive tariffs more US goods for one year from 28 February, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council said on Friday.
The latest list covers 66 types of products, such as wood, laser machines and auto-driving devices, among others. No petrochemicals are included in the list.
Another list in the second batch will be released later, the Commission said.
