ndia and Russia have finalised the broad contours of an ambitious government-to-government agreement for long-term import of crude oil by India from Russia’s Far East region. The pact is likely to be inked during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit in October for the annual summit talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, diplomatic sources told PTI.

Northeast (NE) Asian ethylene prices extended losses due to lower Chinese demand amid widespread downstream production cuts.
The near-term outlook remains bleak. It could take some time for downstream activity in China to normalise even as businesses have resumed operations progressively from 10 February after an extended holiday.

The contract price of monoethylene glycol (MEG) for January in Europe was finally agreed on February 13 at EUR625 per tonne, which is EUR20 per tonne higher than the previous month, ICIS reported citing confirmation from the second buyer and second seller .
The MEG contract price for January shipments was approved on FD NWE terms of delivery (with delivery to Northwest Europe).

The global titanium dioxide (TiO2) market is shifting into a more positive mode and should show improvement in 2020, the CEO of US-based producer Chemours said on Friday.
“We think the market’s starting to improve… I’d say the tide is turning for the TiO2 side right now,” said Mark Vergnano, CEO of Chemours, in an interview with ICIS.
“Ore costs are starting to move up and normally when you see [this], pigment prices start to follow. That’s one indicator,” he said.
Chemours can also get a sense of future price direction through its Ti-Pure Flex Portal – an ecommerce platform where customers can see prices and volumes available for particular grades, and delivery options. Deliveries can be for today, or further out in time.
