KHS to showcase extended PET portfolio at NPE Plastics Show in US

KHS PET NPE Plastics USA The event will take place between 7 May and 11 May in Orlando, Florida.

At the event, the company will exhibit light single-serve formats, wide-neck and oval packaging solutions, as well as advanced compact machines.

The company has developed compact InnoPET Blomax stretch blow molding system, which features small mold carriers that can process up to to 2,500 containers per hour.

If required, the stretch blow molder can be integrated with other KHS systems such as Innosept Asbofill for the hygienic filling of sensitive products.

The new KHS chunk dosing unit for flexible product design can also be incorporated into the system, helping to produce fruits, vegetables and cereals in sizes up to 10 x 10 x 10 millimeters.

The company will also showcase its light packaging solutions, including Factor 100 0.5-liter PET bottle for still water.

Other products exhibited at the event include oval containers with an efficient distribution of materials and wide-neck containers with openings measuring up to 70 millimeters.

In addition, the firm will exhibit FreshSafe PET coating method, which protects sensitive foods such as tomato sauce, fruit and vegetables.

It also helps to protect sensitive juices and carbonated soft drinks by covering the overing the inside wall of the PET container with a wafer-thin layer of silicon oxide (SiOx).

KHS Corpoplast sales and technology head Frank Haesendonckx said: “The demand for single-serve packs holding between 250 and 800 millimeters is on the rise. We’ve thus developed a new version of our tried-and-tested InnoPET Blomax stretch blow molder especially for this segment.”

Based in Dortmund of Germany, KHS provides illing and packaging systems to the customers in the beverage, food and non-food industries.
