MOSCOW – Domestic price offers for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in China fell at the end of last week to USD1070-1,130 per ton, FOB China, ICIS reported.

Then the quotes fell by USD35-40 per ton, while price proposals were USD1 085-1 150 per ton, FOB China.
Some sellers could sell fairly large volumes of material amid lower prices, while other sellers faced limited interest from buyers in the market due to a sharp drop in international oil futures in the middle of last week.
According to the ICIS-MRC Price Review , the spot prices for PET in the Russian market are gradually going down due to the expected decline in contract prices for the next month and low demand for material.
The fundamental factors that influence the global PET market remain unchanged so far – the prices of petroleum and PET raw materials continue to decline.
