Hamburg, Germany – German distributor Nordmann – formerly known as NRC Group – has been selected as the official distributor for Kolon Plastics’ Kopel-branded thermoplastic copolyester elastomers (TPE-C) in Europe
Effective 1 July, the agreement covers all Europe, excluding Nordic countries and Turkey, Nordmann said 17 July.

Biome Technologies on Monday warned investors to expect a modest interim loss after staff costs jumped and revenue dropped due to lower sales from the Stanelco RF division.
The bioplastics and radio frequency technology business said its revenues for the first half of the year were £3.6m, down from £4.4m over the comparable period last year, as the Stanelco RF division’s revenues slipped from £3.5m to £2.2m due to a return to more normalised sales levels of fibre optic furnaces following exceptional demand in 2018.

A government consultation will seek evidence to help develop standards for biodegradable, compostable and bio-based plastics.
Defra and the department for business, energy and industrial strategy are seeking expert evidence on the sustainability of bio-based and biodegradable plastics in comparison with conventional plastic materials.
They will also consider views on existing plastic degradation standards and how they could be promoted without adverse effect, as well as looking at how standards for biodegradable plastics will be designed to ensure they fully biodegrade in a reasonable time frame.
The Plastic Pipes Conference Association (PPCA) announces that papers delivered during the sixth China International Plastic Pipe Conference will point towards further growth in what has already become the world’s largest manufacturing base for such pipe systems.
The event in Guangzhou takes place on 18-19 November 2019 and is expected to attract a record number of participants.
