MOSCOW – The price proposals of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in the Asian market have risen sharply last week amid an increase in raw material prices, ICIS reported.
Spot prices in the region were in the range of USD1 020-1 050 per ton, FOB China, and USD1 100-1 130 per ton, FOB India, in the week ending November 30.

The price quotations for Chinese PET went up last week for both domestic and export markets after the growth of domestic raw material prices in China for purified terephthalic acid (TPA) from 6,110-6,170 yuan (CNY) or USD887-896 per ton, ex-warehouse (ex warehouse), November 30, up to the mark in CNY6 537-6 620 per ton, ex-warehouse, December 6.
