LyondellBasell, in partnership with Antolin and Renault, will unveil the first applications of their newly developed expanded polypropylene (Hostacom TYC 2463F E2) at the Fakuma fair in Germany. This innovative material is designed to enhance the finish of car interiors and will be commercially used for the first time in Renault’s new Rafale hybrid SUV.

The development of this compound is attributed to LyondellBasell’s advanced catalysis system, which enhances the rheology of the expanding agent, making it ideal for producing interior parts with intricate designs and complex surface textures.

Additionally, the new formulation of the chemical foam system contributes to weight reduction.
