JXTG Nippon Oil nominated Asia’s November benzene contract price at USD55 per tonne below October
MOSCOW – JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy (part of the Nippon Oil Corporation), a major producer of petrochemicals in Japan, nominated the November contract price of benzene in Asia at USD55 per tonne lower than in October, thereby setting it is at a mark of USD675 per ton, a source in the company told ICIS .
The price has been approved on delivery terms CFR Asia.
The October contract price for the company’s material was set at USD730 per tonne, which is USD50 per tonne higher than the September contract price of the current year.

Benzene is a raw material for the production of styrene, which, in turn, is the main raw material component for the production of polystyrene (PS).
