Andritz Unveils Sustainable Nonwovens and Recycling Technologies at INDEX 26
Andritz nonwovens technologies
Andritz Showcases Advanced Nonwovens and Textile Recycling Technologies at INDEX 26
Andritz will present its latest innovations for nonwovens production, hygiene converting, textile recycling, and sustainable fiber processing at the INDEX 26 trade show.
At booth 2114, the company will highlight a broad portfolio of technologies focused on sustainability, operational efficiency, and high-performance textile manufacturing solutions.
Andritz Expands Sustainable Nonwovens Solutions
Andritz plans to showcase advanced systems designed to support the growing global demand for sustainable and durable nonwoven products.
The company’s portfolio includes spunlace technologies that use natural and renewable fibers for wipes and hygiene applications. It will also feature its Wetlace™ technology range for producing pulp-based and blended nonwoven materials.
A key focus will be Andritz’s Wetlace solutions for flushable and dispersible wipes, developed to meet evolving environmental regulations and consumer expectations.
The company will also present integrated carded pulp and airlaid technologies, which provide manufacturers with flexible alternatives to traditional wetlaid production systems.
Advanced Hygiene Converting and Diaper Recycling Technologies
Andritz will demonstrate its full range of absorbent hygiene product (AHP) converting solutions for baby care, feminine hygiene, and adult care products.
The company will also spotlight its diaper recycling system, developed through collaboration between Andritz Diatec and Andritz Laroche. The technology separates super absorbent polymers (SAP), fluff pulp, and plastics from diaper production waste, enabling closed-loop recycling and reuse of valuable raw materials.
In addition, Andritz will introduce next-generation adult care converting lines designed to improve production efficiency, optimize SAP management, and simplify machine operation.
Ultrasonic Lamination and High-Speed Crosslapping
The company will also feature high-precision ultrasonic lamination technologies built with modular full-servo systems that help reduce waste and improve production flexibility.
Another major highlight is the X Pro™ crosslapper, designed for high-speed spunlace and needlepunch applications. The system improves web uniformity while increasing productivity and integrates with the Andritz ProWin™ web weight regulation platform.
The X Pro™ crosslapper is available for both new production lines and retrofit upgrades for existing installations.
Focus on Sustainable Lyocell Fiber Production
Andritz is also expanding its presence in the man-made cellulosic fiber (MMCF) sector, particularly lyocell production.
The company provides complete production plant solutions, including engineering, pulp preparation systems, and flash dryers. With decades of experience in pulp and paper technologies, Andritz also supports plant audits and modernization projects.
Lyocell continues to gain traction globally due to its lower environmental impact and strong performance in textile and nonwoven applications.
Digitalization and AI-Powered Production Optimization
Digitalization will remain a central focus for Andritz at INDEX 26 through its Metris digital platform.
The Metris system supports nonwoven production facilities throughout the equipment lifecycle by integrating:
- Production management tools
- AI-based process optimization
- Process simulation systems
- Advanced Control Expert (ACE™) technologies
- Smart sensor condition monitoring
The company says these digital solutions help manufacturers improve operational transparency, production efficiency, and long-term reliability.
Lifecycle Services and Preventive Maintenance
Andritz will also promote its Synergy service agreements, which provide lifecycle management solutions tailored to customer operations.
The agreements include preventive maintenance, retrofit support, equipment upgrades, and regular technical service visits designed to improve uptime and extend equipment lifespan.
