The European Union has mandated the registration of terephthalic acid (TPA) imports from South Korea and Mexico starting October 9, 2025, as a precursor to a potential anti-dumping investigation. This move could lead to retroactive PTA duties if unfair pricing is confirmed. The registration applies to high-purity TPA (≥99.5%) and aims to protect EU producers from market distortions caused by dumped imports
