Domestic spot ACN prices in China have been fluctuating at low levels since mid-November due to weak demand from the downstream market for the production of acrylic yarns.
PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical operates four ACN plants in Jilin Province (Jilin province, China) with a total capacity of 452 thousand tons per year.
In particular, plants No. 1 and No. 2 have a capacity of 106 thousand tons per year, while the capacity of enterprises No. 3 and No. 4 is 120 thousand tons per year each.
Currently, these plants operate at full capacity, the source said.
Earlier, it was noted that on November 2, PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical reduced the price proposals of ACN for CNY1 800 (USD260) per ton compared to the previous level – to CNY15,000 or USD2,167 per ton, ex-warehouse, and on November 9 USD72) per ton – up to CNY14,500 or USD2,083 per ton.
