Axel injection molding process antistatic propertiesAxel Plastics Research Laboratories Inc. (Monroe, CT), a manufacturer of proprietary external and internal mold releases and process aid additives, has developed a new process aid additive with anti-static properties.

MoldWiz INT-34KF is a 100% active additive designed to incorporate directly into resins. Available in powder or pellet form, the additive reportedly improves release, lubricity, resin flow/fill, and will not discolor or lessen clarity. It is recommended for use with polyethylene, polypropylene, including TPO, TPE, TPV, and TPU, nylon, styrenics, engineered thermoplastics and PET.

Other benefits of MoldWiz INT-34KF include compatibility with high processing temperatures for polymers such as PA, PPA and other engineered resins; improved release versus older additives such as Axel’s MoldWiz INT-33 series and INT-38HM; and improved flow compared with older additives such as Axel MoldWiz INT34DLK and INT-55PV.

INT-34KF is a synergistic blend of modified polymers and organic components, which will not interfere with any bonding, painting, printing or plating. INT-34KF usually eliminates the need for an external mold release agent, reduces cycle times, temperatures and pressures of molding machines and reduces or eliminates weld/knit lines, said Axel. INT-34-KF does not contain silicones, stearates or waxes.
