Formosa Plastics increased the August prices of PVC by USD20 per tonne
MOSCOW ( Market Report ) – Taiwan Formosa Plastics Corp. (FPC), a major global producer of petrochemical products, raised its price proposals for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for supplies in August to all markets at USD20 per tonne, ICIS sources told the market.
So, the company’s price offers for China were announced at USD890 per tonne, CFR China.
The price offers for the countries of Southeast Asia and other regions are USD850 per tonne, FOB northeast Asia. Buyers in these markets receive a discount of USD10 per ton, if orders are 500 tons or more.
The August PVC prices for supplies to the Indian market in July were announced at the level of USD960 per tonne, CFR India, with the possibility of receiving a discount of USD10 per ton for the purchase of material volumes from 500 tons.
Earlier it was reported that Formosa Plastics prolonged its June price proposals for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for supplies in the Asian markets in July.
According to the Price Review of ICIS-MRC , in Russia last week negotiations on July deliveries of Russian PVC continued. Local producers were forced to reduce prices, despite a serious rise in price of the import alternative. Demand for resin continues to grow gradually from month to month, but still does not exceed last year’s figures.
Formosa Plastics Corporation (FCP) is a major global chemical producer headquartered in Taiwan. The company mainly produces polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, as well as other petrochemical products.
