Arburg to showcase thin-wall application for packaging industry at Interplastica 2018

PKBR Staff WriterInjection moulding machine manufacturer, Arburg is planning to demonstrate its packaging version of a hybrid Allrounder 570H designed for packaging industry at the Interplastica 2018.

Arburg thinwall packaging Interplastica 2018 At the event, which is scheduled to be held from 23-26 January in Russia, the firm said it will showcase the new machine designed for high-speed thin-wall application for the packaging industry.

The Arburg’s packaging version of the hybrid Allrounder 570 H is capable of producing four IML tubs in a cycle time of around 1.9 seconds.

Arburg European sales director Stephan Doehler said: “There is significant demand for high-quality machines, especially in the medical sector and in the electrical engineering and packaging industries.

“At the Interplastica 2018, we will use the example of IML tubs to demonstrate high-speed, high-quality mass production of packaging products.”

Featuring clamping force of 1,800 kN, the packaging version of the Allrounder 570 H is configured to produce four IML tubs with a wall thickness of only 0.32 millimetres from PP in a cycle time of around 1.9 seconds. Weighing 3.55 grams, each of these containers have 150ml capacity.

The firm said it will demonstrate the performance capabilities of the Hidrive hybrid machine series at the Interplastica event.

Brink is the supplier of the mould and the automation system for inserting the IML labels and removing and stacking the decorated finished parts.
