The event will take place between 20 March and23 March in Cologne.

At the event, the company will exhibit new shell-and-tube heat exchanger to produce milk, milk-based mixed drinks, tea and juice.

Heat exchange occurs on the product-against-product principle, under which still-cold product flows across the inner tube and heated up by the already-warmed product in the outer tube.

The heat exchanger helps increase energy recovery rate compared to the product-against-water model.

Krones’ subsidiary HST Maschinenbau will showcase its Type HL6 homogenizer, which can manage 27,000 litres of milk per hour.

The homogenizer holds capacity to upgrade the physical stability of UHT milk and desserts, as well as milk-based mixed drinks.

It features HST MultiGap valve that consumes up to 25% less energy and demand-responsive control system that helps to reduce the water consumption by around 25%.

Krones valves and pumps producer Evoguard will exhibit its Industry 4.0 design for components.

A component in the valve, such as a seal, will be provided with a new feature to continuously collect data on its status and suggest replacement in the future.

Evoguard will also showcase a range of valves for the customers at the event.

Eighteen months ago, Krones established Milkron to focus on planning and engineering production plants for all liquid to paste-like dairy products.

Milkron is engaged in the development of customised solutions for its clients ranging from the milk acceptance station to the finishing treatment of the products.

Krones also provides kit for filling and packaging, as well as digitalization and intralogistics services for the customers.

In May 2017, Krones acquired US-based firm Javlyn to expand its process integration capabilities.

Based in Rochester of New York state, Javlyn, produces automated processing systems for the food, beverage, dairy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
