U.S. President Donald Trump is facing increasing calls from some U.S. senators and congressmen to pressure Saudi Arabia into ending the oil price war, with one of his own Republican party – Senator Kevin Cramer – last week urging him to impose an embargo on oil imports from Saudi Arabia, Russia and other OPEC nations.
It is not because the U.S. shale producers cannot deal with a much lower sustained oil price environment as they can.
It is because in order to cope with this environment, capital expenditure will have to be trimmed back to the sorts of ratios seen the last time that the Saudis tried the same thing from 2014 to 2016. Petrochemicals Crude Oil Polylactic

One of the world’s most enduring toys lasts longer than even its makers intended.
Lego, scientists have found, could take 1,300 years to decompose.
Researchers testing Lego retrieved during beach clean-ups found its tough plastic bricks in great condition despite decades of wear and tear from constant exposure to water, sunlight and abrasive sands and stones. Petrochemicals Crude Oil Polylactic
The Lego tested could be dated to the 1970s because the bricks contained certain chemical colourants outlawed after that time.
Whether it’s entangling marine animals, clogging their guts when they eat it, or forming giant floating “garbage patches,” oceanic plastic waste is a huge problem. There may be new hope however, in the form of what is claimed to be a better type of marine-biodegradable plastic. Petrochemicals Crude Oil Polylactic
First of all, various groups have already developed plastics that harmlessly biodegrade in the ocean environment. According to Japan’s Osaka University, however, these have three main drawbacks: they’re of inferior quality to conventional plastics, they cost over twice as much to produce, and they can only be manufactured in relatively small amounts.
